Free billing software
Most "free" billing software is a trial wearing a costume, or a free tier that stops working the moment you need it. It is worth knowing which kind you are looking at before you put a month of sales into it.
What free actually means here
Vanij's Free plan is a real plan, not a countdown. You can keep billing on it, and it does not expire into a locked app.
The trade is visible and small: documents produced on the Free plan carry a one-line Vanij footer. That is the whole catch, and we would rather write it on the page than let you find it on your first invoice.
Is GST billing free too?
GST mode is a setting rather than a separate product, so there is no "GST plan" to buy on top. Which features sit on which side of the paid line is set out in the Free vs Paid comparison on our home page, and it is worth reading before you decide — we are not going to pretend everything is free.
What is always free, on every plan: exporting your own data. That is a founding rule of this product, not a promotion.
Your data is not the price
The usual way free software gets paid for is with your data. That model does not work here even in principle: business data stays on your device and our servers have no table that could hold your customers or your sales.
There are no ads and no tracking SDKs in the app.
When free stops being the right answer
If you want the footer line off your invoices, or you need the paid features, that is the point to upgrade — and your price is locked when you buy, so a renewal never costs more than your first payment did.
Vanij keeps your billing data on your own phone, not on our server.
